Tow car recommendations please!

Chaps,

My (previously) trusty Skoda Octavia TDi estate is starting to feel a little tired, and quite frankly I fancy a change... It'll be my main car (old Scimitar resto project notwithstanding) and needs to be capable of towing this:



which is a Reliant Kitten spaceframe fitted with a 300bhp TVR V8 - weighs around 850kg. My first thoughts are that an estate would be good, and as I do quite a few miles (and a good few of those towing) I'm thinking maybe an A6 Avant 3.0TDi quattro or a Beemer 535d Touring because of the big torquey oil-drinker. Or, out of leftfield, a Scooby WRX? Budget is £8-12k. I would value your thoughts gents!
