Advice/help needed please

Hi everyone, havent posted in a while so thought i'd better, since the last time i posted ive had another 2 cars since the "greenmachine" the scenic failed its mot big time needing £500+ spent on it to pass, so i decided the best option was to sell the car on, and bought a cracker of a ford ka it was a metallic (ink?) blue 2002 collection model 1.3 not the quickest of cars but going from a people carrier to a little go kart was a huge difference, now for the bad part i paid £1000 for the said ka, and managed to succesfully write it off hitting a tree at 30mph after losing it on black ice, after this i decided to buy another ka but spend less money and possibly make it my "project" a friend was selling his 2000 ka with 26000 genuine miles however the car had not been looked after, with badly fitted new sills and bumpers siliconed on i knew from the start it was going to need a LOT of work, i test drove it and it drove fantastically mechanically stronger then the 2002 ka i previously had.

unfortunatley ive had to face facts and i have decided this year to take a year out of driving due to lack of funds, so i have decided to make the little ka my project still having the aformentioned blue 2002 ka, my aim is to make 1 good car out of the 2, as i started to strip the bumpers and interior out for closer inspection it seems the car is solid in most areas but does need work to both rear arches and a small patch of welding on the passenger side floor that had previously been poorly repaired, so what i need help with is where to start, i will try to upload pictures this evening, but as it stands the 2000 purple (ghey i know) ka is stripped interior and exterior wise but where do i start, my plans are to strip the car right down to a rolling chassis and build it back up again with new suspension/bushes/anything else it needs and clean it all up,

and also what can be done with the enduratec 1300cc motor? obviously i dont just wont to be a barry boy and stick a big "zhorst" to gain 0.00004 of a bhp but i was thinking more inside the engine such as a bigger bore to say 1480cc? or similair i vaguely know about engines but i would say im an average grease monkey,

cut me some slack it was my 18th last night so im sat here writing this with the hangover from hell! coffee and bacon baps are flowing well any comments advice ect would be appreciated...i nearly forgot to say my goal is to have the car finished by december this year, and i want it to look something like the picture below

Engine swap is the obvious and best way to get power up.

i would love to swop the engine but insurance is a nightmare already, my renewal came through the other day £1500 tptf with quinn direct ( the cheapest at the time of passing my test) and thats with a years no claims

Does this mean you won't be four-wheel drifting on the adge of the limits for a people carrier trying to keep up with everyone else this weekend?

I was hoping Kong was going to run another run for after the BB but it's not looking likely as I've not heard anythuing yet
