Motoring changes from the budget:

Allowance up to 45p for private car use.

Company car tax up from 2013.

road tax or excise up by inflation - those £450 per year cars will now be say £475 per year and £500 plus next year. I wouldn't like a big polluting car.

My big worry was that he was going to do something awful to K* band cars (eg. my 2002 SL500 @ 305g/km CO2) and whack the tax up to £450. Phew!
