Its certainly a step in the right direction. I assume it will be £50k or something which is going to be the major turn off but I do think electric cars are going to be the way forward for many and its nice to see an attractive one.

Electric will never take off, here are a couple of quick reasons why. There's many more I can think of, but I need to go out and sand down some plastic padding.

No idea of the actual make up costs but probably half of the fuel put in your oil burner is tax. Everybody converts to electric where's all this lovely tax going to come from ?

Electric isn't the future, it's a stop-gap for geeks to feel good about themselves thinking they are saving a planet that can look after itself perfectly well, funnily enough it has done so for millions of years.

Electric will remain a pointless exercise for the masses and a pipe dream to those that wish to inflict crud looking and impractical vehicles on the population.

IMO anyway.

Not a bad looking car, and with a 250 mile range it's actually useable. The price will be the killer though.

I like the emphasis on low energy consumption rather than droning on about emissions. Looks like it could be a seriously fun car to drive too. It occurs to me that electric cars might have so much surplus power that you could choose between FWD, RWD or AWD as conditions or mood dictates?
