Ok schumacher has the lap record set in 2004 at 1:24.125 will it go?

Also he holds the lap record still for so many circuits this season - clearl the newer tracks don't but anyone care to guess if these will be beaten.

All these improvements have clearly not yet beaten the stunning 2004 fezza

I think its possible the lap record will be beaten. The issue will be having the perfect lap, no mistakes, no traffic, fresh tyres and not too much fuel.

I can't tell if your a schumacher fanboi or not but his time wasn't so amazing that noone can get close to it its the fact the regulations etc changed after that with the intention of slowing the cars down to improve safety which is something they do every now and then and have planned to do again in 2013.

After that we've had TC banned, alot of aerodynamic bits and bobs were banned, tyres have changed, engine development frozen etc.

Ever since, the teams have been slowly but surely finding loopholes and bits and bobs to get the car back to where it is now which is back on that pace.

As for your actual question theres every chance it will go but it depends how the pirelli tyres degrade in a race, on qualifying pace theres 4 cars with the speed to beat that time as it stands and as long as it doesn't rain and the track rubbers in, times like that will be possible if the tyres allow it.
