Hi, i'm looking into getting a second car so i've been looking at a Multi car insurance policy, as i have 9 years no claims bonus, do i have to use all 9 on one car or can i split it between the 2 cars, i.e. 4 on one car, 5 on the other?

Dont think you can do that, split your NCB but Admiral will more than likely use your 9 years on both cars.

Well they did for me (well my OH)

My OH has 5 years and i have none and we wanted to insure both cars for both of us to use so they used the 5 year NCB on both policies to work out the premium.

I think ZOLLAR works for them so it might be worth asking him.

I use it but I`d built up NCB on two cars anyway.

I have 14 years and they agreed to use 14 on one and put 5 years on the other. But I was insuring a group 20 and a group 4.

To get a multicar policy you have to call them anyway (although you can get a quote online) so just be really nice.

Unfortunately you're not able to "split" the NCB, but what you should be able to do is get the NCB "mirrored" onto your second car giving you the equivalent discount as the 9 years.
