Car Hire in Manchester

Hi Folks can anybody recomend a decent (and reasonably cheap) car hire company in the Manchester Area? I'm needing to do a trip down South at the end of April for a family wedding (not for the Royal Wedding) and could do with a Diesel for the weekend instead of the Saab (or the hateful A class), any help gratefully received.

Don't want to sound unhelpful but surely the cost of fuel for either your Sabb or A-Class must be considerably less than the cost of a hire car plus fuel?

A very valid comment, I should have also pointed out that the Saab is booked in for some work at the garage that weekend (been waiting to get it in for a while so cancelling not really doable) and as for the A-Class, the last time I did the trip back south and back I felt like I needed to book two weeks worth of chiropractic treatment afterwards (my fault for being stupidly tall)

Stu - I've used these people in the past. Not particularly cheap, but very reliable. They let me have an E-Class for the price of a C-Class because the latter wasn't available.

I was originally promised an S-Class by one of the cheaper car rental places. They let me down at the last minute - I was not a happy bunny
