Methanol in (diesel) fuel tank

Hi all, I know there is water/alcohol injection but I was just wondering if there if anything you can put in your fuel tank to effectivly increase the octane rating / power?

If you can inject alcohol and increase power I can't see why yuo shouldn't be able to use it in the tank?

I would imagine every seal in the fuel system would shrivel up and die. Used to work in the chemical industry, and methanol required specific seals for pumps etc.

You can run older diesels on up to 40% kerosene. No idea what it does for performance but I do know you don't pay £1.40/litre for kerosene.

diesel specific LPG dual fuel system is the way to go. up to a 30% improvement in
mpg with a significant increase in power too.
