Gay icon? Only in a few Brits (gay Brits???) minds. To everyone else it's the best selling and most know purpose off roader eclipsing things like a Defender or G-Wagen.

I've done a lot of offroading in Wranglers in Arizona and Utah. Might be a gay icon in the UK, but in my experience it is an unparrallelled offroader. Wheels on the extreme corner so you can take extreme slopes, small, agile. I will be interested to see why it needs a hemi, though. As a road car, its crap.
