Anyone rate mobile tyre fitters?

Friend at work has a nasty wobble/shake through the steering wheel at medium speed upwards. I reckon it's one of her front tyres, the near side one is fairly badly worn on the outside shoulder.
Anyway, to simplify the process for her, I suggested etyres.co.uk (the one with Eamonn Holmes on the website) as I'd spotted them when looking for a solution to a problem Mrs Cjelli had created a while back. In the end I didn't have to use them, managed to sort it out.
Since then, have wondered whether they are any good? Anyone got anything good/bad to say about them? Just in case I've passed on a dud piece of advice.

I've used etyres several times and found the local guy too, my dad has used a different one too and no problems.
Needed a couple of tyres so checked them out again but very expensive. Have event tyres booked for tomorrow as they get a good write up and the prices are not much worse than camskill and they are fitted on your drive.

I had a national chain (sounds a bit like dip s

) to replace my tyres at home on my company car (mainly to save spending my weekend getting it done 'in store' while I could get on doing something else). I've done this twice and both times ended up going into the depot to get them to balance them properly a few days later. I don't know if it's the company in question, but their in-van balancing kit just doesn't seem up to scratch, so the last time I just waited until I was passing a branch that looked quite and got it done straight away and the balancing was spot on that time...

Agree. They were excellent for me - although recently when I tried to use them, they didn't have any suitable tyres in stock fro my E39.Used them for years on various BMWs and the 911.

Have said this before - but in a particular branch of same chain (I think) they had 2 goes to balance the tyres on my company car.t ) to replace my tyres at home on my company car (mainly to save spending my weekend getting it done 'in store' while I could get on doing something else). To be fair the depot seem to be able to balance them properly, just the mobile ones couldn't. I do remember a few years ago, having to explain in words of one syllable that I wanted my freshly refurbish and polished alloys off my RS2000 balancing with stick on weights only on the inside of the wheel. I had visions of them hammering lead weights on my shiny new rims.

Kwikfit mobile.....fkwit mobile more like. My wife hit a pot hole on her way to work and managed to get there on her spare. Called out fkwit who replaced the tyre,failing to mention the now oval alloy. So off she goes to head for home down a dark county lane to get a flat 1/2 mile from work, fkwit has kept the locking nut key. She has to wait on The AA. If I could have got the muppet I would have locked his wheel nuts

Tatty old van, kid in tow, couldn't get his compressor started, so had to come back the next day. I soon discovered afterwards he hadn't even attempted to balance the wheels, or fit new valves. The guy in the official van that put it right seemed ok, but I'm sticking with trusted local tyre depots from now on.

We've used a local (Leeds) man in a pink(!) van for years at work.
Makes life so much easier and his prices are pretty good too.
Never had any issues with quality, care over the job etc.
His tyre fitting is better than his website.
