1p to 2p fuel fiddle total rip off

any one had this experience over last 2-3yrs whilst fuelling at local garage fuel to nearest pound usually stick 30 quids worth in griff then go for a spin, placing or about to replace nozzle in pump holster price jumps by one to 2 pence.
complained to lass behind counter states its fuel left in the pipe, no comment but thats bulls

complained to oil company they say alls okay just meter is slow again bullst okay only a penny or 2 but multiply this by every car that uses that station nand if its throughout country we are talking big bucks
anyone experienced this rip off
next job is to complain to weights and measures
the bullst that comes out of peoples mouths just done 4000klicks in british columbia fuelled at different pumps and stations not once did the price jump after i had finished fuelling

explain this oil at 135 dollars a barrel sterling exchange rate 2.10 dollars to pound fuel 128p a litre this was time about 4yrs ago compare price off oil and current exchange rate we all woke up to the fact that we the joe public are getting another good rogering from the oil companies and why should i give a toss as i work in the industry so strong oil prices more work for me

The amount of people that moan about this at work (work in a petrol station) is unbelievable.
Because the price is so high at the moment, the slightest touch sends it over a penny or two.
I was speaking to an engineer a few weeks ago, and he was saying that often the pumps give out more than they say, so customers shouldn't complain.
If anyone moans about it to me, I just say sarcastically its to pay for my pay rise.
Its only a penny or two at the end of the day.
Because the price is so high at the moment, the slightest touch sends it over a penny or two.

No matter how pedantic the customer is, you wait till they turn to put the nozzle in the hole & you click it forward by a penny
My local petrol station has a little tray in front of the cashier with a couple of pennies in. The idea is that if your petrol comes to something like £29.79, you chuck a penny in the tray. The next person who tries to hit £20 and gets £20.01 can take a penny from the tray to cover it. There's usually less than 20p in the tray anyway so nobody bothers stealing it.
