Headlight Rant

I've just got in from driving my brother to Salisbury. On the way home, in the pitch black, I come up behind a Smart car doing about 35mph on a NSL section of the A36 near Bath. It's a good quality trunk road, and easily possible to maintain 60 all the way along. I follow this car for a couple of miles before getting to a spot where it's safe to overtake, pull out, put on main beam, and go past. Looking in my mirror, I see why the car is going so slow. It was being driven on a single sidelight.

What the fk is wrong with people? For fk's sake, is it not obvious to these fking imbeciles that there is a good reason why they can't see a fking thing? One missing light is just about acceptable, but I would get it sorted the next day because it's dangerous. But this fking retard obviously had no fking concern for themselves or any other fking road users because they thought it was perfectly fking OK to drive along in the dark with the lighting equivalent of one of those fking keyring torches lighting the way. I could have fking screamed.

I winds me up too! Sadly I see it nearly everyday aswell. These people clearly have no regards to others and there safety.

The two seat Smart cars have to have the front body panels removed to change any of the bulbs, about two hours work, damned stupid design!

Exactly that. I could see the square root of fk all. I was intermittently flashing my own main beam while behind him so I could see the road ahead. Antisocial I know, but I really did want to know what was in front.
