which option will send me round a track quicker?

i have a fairly standard 306 gti. Currently has Spax RSX coilovers, larger rear ARB.

Do i:

Go for a plate lsd diff, new clutch and lightened flywheel

or

Firmer front springs (from 190lbs to about 380 lbs) and bigger torsion bars at the rear, along with solid beam mounts to remove the passive steer.

I realise the first option is a bit more expensive. I plan to do both in due course but it will have to just be one of those two options for the next few months.

I have always felt the car going no where on tight corners when the front wheel lifts so i have always wanted the diff. Im just wondering if some firmer suspension will just keep me more planted around the corners and would actually help prevent wheels lifting?

i knew the old tuition line would get rolled out! I have had some and i will be having some more but i also want to upgrade some bits.

OE front ARB which is generally left alone / not upgrade on these.

only lifting a wheel on tight hairpins where maybe slidding a bit and loosing tracking and inside wheel spining or slightly lifting.

Ive heard various coments on passive steer mounts, good and bad but i have decided to try them and i have some sitting in a box waiting to go on.

The arb has improved the drive so much i am keen on firming up other bits of suspension. However surely an lsd is going to make a pretty dramatic difference!

Hmmmm might do tyres aswell as suspension. Thinking Michelin PE2s

one other thing - when upgrading coilover springs, do you need to change the little helper spring?
