A couple of months ago I sold my Saab 9000 turbo, it was a cracking car, the best I've owned and ticked most boxes for me, other than boring old economy and racking up 16k in a year in that thing hurt my wallet a bit! So I sold it and bought a Volvo S60 D5, which is a very nice car, the newest and most expensive car I've bought at £3k.

I've had it 2 months now and it is a nice car, comfy, fairly quick, well specced, fantastic stereo, but it just doesn't really do it for me like the 9k did, it seems to lack a bit of character, its rapid enough, but not as quick as the Saab and doesn't excite me the 9k did when I drove it.

So I'm thinking of selling it, I think I'd probably be able to get my money back on it, and buying a real snotter, like a 306 diesel for sub £1k and spending the rest on something I can enjoy at weekends. There's a whole list of cars I'd like to own and I just can't see it being possible any other way, other than making the sacrifice and selling the Volvo.

List of cars I'd like to own and would be attainable as a 2nd car (probably in order)

-Saab 900 turbo (the classic shape)
-205 GTi
-Mini Clubman
-Toyota MR2

Also as an aside, what do PH'ers do about insuring 2 cars? Who's a good company for dual car policies?

Insurance tax MOT & servicing costs add up with more than one.

Admiral do a multi car but then you're tied in with both motors. Some specialist brokers might work out cheaper for your second car, particularly if you are going to park it up over winter. Oh and you can only use your no claims on one policy so if you are using different policies, you're back at new driver status with policy number two.
