police speed trap non visible officer

ive just watched loads of cars getting pulled in a 30 mph in surrey,the officer had to get right out it the road to been seen!,what was strange when i asked the officer that his visability jacket wasnt reflecting,he said its the glow from the orange street light makes them go non reflextive!,i was walking back home thinking maybe surrey police should test this because you could
not see his jacket glowing in any car headlamps causing cars to swerve! when pulled in for speeding.

hmmm that doesn't make a lot of sense.

They might contrast with the environment less, but the retroreflective strips aren't going to be rendered 'less reflective' by other light sources.
