Winter tyres, when are they cheapest?

They get more expensive the closer we get to winter, so does anyone in the tyre trade know when they are at their cheapest? I'll buy a set and keep them in the garage.

Last year a particular model of tyre was £100 in September, before going up to £140 - its still at £140 now. Things go up, but they may not come back down?

If they have any left in stock now I'm sure they would be keen to shift them

Maybe this winter, all the tyre dealers will have been caught 'pants down' this winter so everyone will be ordering stock in.
