I have been looking at Pistonheads and reading this forum for some time now.
I am delighted at the absence of text speak (did not realise until I joined that it is an unwritten rule) and that pedantry is encouraged!
I am also very impressed by the depth of knowledge of members, particularly on some obscure issues, and, more importantly, their willingness to help and share that knowledge with other members. The time and effort some members put into the forum is, frankly, astonishing and I, for one, am considerably better informed on a number of subjects as a result.
I thought the time had come when I ought to join up, not least of all to express my appreciation. Hopefully, I might be able to make a useful contribution and help somebody else one day.

I would like to reply in a similar style but cannot do (?) text speak even if I try!
Sadly, I do not drive anything special, more at the bangernomic rather than super car end of the scale. Having said that, bangernoics can be fun and, as you guys know, you can now get a staggering amount of car for not a lot of money. Some of the threads on barges give rise to serious temptation.
I currently a Volvo V70 and a Peugeot 306, neither of which are in the first phase of youth.
