what can i do about the noise !!!!!!

ok some time ago we had some not sociably nice people move in the neighbourhood.
wouldnt say
s etc but definately not the best people (no need to guess theyre in the counci houses)
anyway they live far enough up the road i dont need to see them, but now theres 2 of them with stupid little Rs50 moped things and do i even need to mention the "pure mental exorrrsstt!" hes got on it.
now ive lived with it long enough. shy of walking up and jumping on his face what can i do?
ive my car was that loud i would be pulled over constantly, its like having someone hold a hairdryer to your ear.
not only that but i think he sees our cars on the drive and obviously notes the "pistonhead" type, and i think he thinks were impressed when he full throttles it up the street and keeps it lit round the blind corner where cars are parked.
sometimes i reverse off my drive quickly in the hope il take the f22ker out
will police do anything? maybe they can use their speed camera frmo my bedroom window to get him?
or should i just go slash his tyres?

You could try to take him out with a sniper rifle from your front window as he goes past. The guy nextdoor to me had an old Fiesta with a loud exhaust on it and used to come and go in the middle of the night. Despite thinking he was the ultimate boy racer he used to park like a granny and spend ages shunting it up and down revving it before hitting one of our cars. The only time it came back quietly was when it came back on the back of a recovery lorry with a broken suspension. Now he's sold it his little brother has got a scooter that he has to spend ages revving up before he leaves. The guy nextdoor to me on the other side has a proper Triumph motorbike and he doesn't feel compelled to keep revving it up.

I fking hate motorbikes anyway but this tosser used to start it up and rev the nuts off it on the drive, then drive off, then when he came home it will leave it running for ages whilst he took his helmet, gloves off etc, at 11:00 at night, used to wake my kids occasionally. We complained to the council and they wrote to him but it didn't make any difference. I used to hope and pray he would total it. One day it just stopped. I mentioned it to a neighbour a few weeks later and they said he had written it off. Pissed myself

Doesn't help your situation, except I fell your pain! I would avoid confronting him though. Report to the council / police. The council will help and sometimes will give you books to log the noise in and even install decibel meters.
