Problem with changing car battery

After a lot of huff & puff I managed to change the battery in 52-reg Corsa but on my first attempt I ripped out bits of plastic which turned out to be shield/rain guard thingy. Very worried about water entering since the battery sits underneath the windscreen and plastic splash tray/grille/venting - help!

Probably not even that, but whenever you're under the bonnet give it a quick look. Grease will stay there for ages and you should have no problems. Just keep an eye on other stuff that might have been protected by that guard, but.. Stuff under there is usually designed to be able to get wet!Every 6 months?

Your Corsa windscreen is glazed directly to the car (bonded). The cured Polyurethane cannot be disturbed or damaged by removing the plastic cowl. Be sure to check the plastic trim is in place under the bottom of the screen before you offer the cowl back up.

That's why there was a lot of huff & puff. Took a while for me to put that piece of plastic back in. Gotta give to GM for better build quality!
