Quick question re unusual number plate.

Hi, I was behind a RHD Zafira this afternoon. It had a black plate with just the numbers 3873 on it in silver. When I overtook it was exactly the same on the front, silver on black.
As there was no country defining clues, can anyone enlighten me what the plate signifies, or where its from? Its probably very simple but I haven't seen its like before that I can recall.
