White Off Roaders ?

X5's, X6's, Q7's, RRS, Cayenne etc in pure brilliant gloss white.

Is it me or was this slightly fashionable and different back in 2000 ? now round Cheshire there are legions of them, I think they are too big to carry off white and it no longer looks remotely cool, just naff.

Yes. It's called fashion. And white cars look great if they're race or sports cars. Everything else looks a bit awkward. I had a white 200SX 1.8 Turbo (S13a, 1993) on 17" alloys. Sitting in a car park at night, it looked so cool... as if it were waiting for an illegal street race. 'Course, I drove it, which made it less cool but still.

Given that none of them ever go off road I don't suppose cleaning was ever a problem.

I think white cars, pretty much without exception, look awful. Not as bad as grey/silver, mind.

Astons come in the rather lovely Morrning Frost. BMW have a great individual paint called Moonstone, but I agree that whites don't work for SUVs.

The bigger ones, yes. I'm liking the Range Rover Evoque in white though.
