Ford focus wheel bearing replacement

My trusty shed has a dead bearing on the front.

So i intend to pop the strut out and do the needful but as always a few questions

How big a bugger is the bearing to press in normally as in will i need a press as i'm not a huge fan on the BIG hammer method.

Anything else with a 98 vintage focus libel to catch out the unwary.

Don't try and take the shocker off the hub! the pinch bolt will shear and it's a pain in the derrier to drill out and replace.

Good to hear as i was considering that so take the whole lot out including top mount.

Might be worth replacing the top mount while i'm at it.

Anything else worth doing?

Well that wasn't too hard.

Strut out and bearing changed in 2 hours

I can honestly say I have done loads of focus and other ford hubs of similar set up and never had that happen once,heard of it happening to others though,usually by using a whizz gun.

Hub torque?

316 NM,If your torque wrench wont go that far,tug on it until it makes you let one go.
