Electric Rent-a-cars!

Found out Hertz are starting to put Mitsubishi i-Miev electric cars on their list of available to rent cars in London and are hoping to roll it out across the UK and everywhere else. Does anyone else think this will probably spell the end of getting decent rented cars in the future?

They have 2 of them. As they will permantly be booked by lentilists, you'll still be getting your slightly knackered Focus with one wheel trim missing. Fear not.

Don't be silly, it's a marketing stunt.

I'd rent one for the novelty value if I was only pootling about a city (not that I'd usually rent a car in that circumstance).

Fly to London City Airport. Rent electric car. Drive to meetings in central London, avoid congestion charge, avoid parking charges, avoid the hassle of returning it with a full tank of fuel, avoid stupid DLR.

What's not to like?
