My old car for sale with less miles than when I sold it!

Just seen on pistonheads my old car for sale.

Not only has it been turned into a chavtasticmobil but it is also advertiesd with 25,000 less miles on it than when I sold it!

What would you do? Im half tempted to report them as clocking cars hacks me off!

I'm resuming you sold it to a PHer? If that's the case......he or she must be pretty thick! Or maybe thinking that with all the 'chavtastic' bits on it you wouldn't recognise it?

Theres the link, ive just triple checked the number plate its definitely my old car!

I would like to point out that not only when i sold it did it have 104,000 miles with all the old mot certificates and loads of history but it was also completely standard ok! (bar a black vw badge!)

It makes me sad seeing it how it is now because i liked it looking standard, the colour and the fact it had no gti badges on it drew no attention and 150bhp in a 1150kg car (albeit a little soft) was plenty fun especially combined with it being bombproof even though i used to see near 7,000 rpm everytime i drove it! was cheap fun!

Anyway now u guys know ill report it to garlick!

I agree that clocking is rife - not just on older cars either. What would you do if you were considerably over the mileage limit on your PCP and didn't want to pay 15p/mile ?
