What does this tyre size mean?

Am looking at a set of slicks which are 210/605 R16. What does the 605 profile mean? I cant seem to find it on google. I've not seen this method of showing profile before.

Yes, you are buying slicks.

The middle number is the outer diameter of the tyre.

210/605 R16

210 - the tyre width in mm
605 - the aspect ratio of the tyre which is the height of the tyre wall. This is expressed as a percentage of the tyre width. 605 must be wrong as that would make the tyre wall over 1200mm high.
16 - The wheel diameter in inches.

Aspect ratio is used for road tyres, slicks are different as are serious offroad tyres.
