2011 Mini Cooper Clubman D or Convertible D?

I've been lurking around PH for a while now and thought i would finaly register and post.

As the title says

2011 Mini Cooper Clubman D or Convertible D?

Please can i hear your feedback.

Personally I do not like the Clubman at all - the proportions are all wrong, so I would have to go convertible.

Is there a reason you have ruled out a normal Cooper D?

The only reason is MPG

The clubman is a hideous abortion of a car, so out of the two I'd have to go for the convertible D.

Don't get what you mean there. A normal Mini D must be better mpg than either of the other 2 surely?

Convertible if I had to pick one of those 2 though because the Clubman is hideous.

Imho a diesel convertible is a big nono, but even then id still pick anything over the clubman.

Cooper SD hatch, figures are impressive.

I have driven an R57 S Convertible and was very impressed with how well controlled it was, very little scuttle shake, and it didn't feel like a convertible in the way it drove.

I have never driven the Clubby, but I would like to at one point, it is supposedly a better drive than a hatch due to the longer wheelbase and better stability.

Depends what you prioritise, space, fun, or something a bit different.

I would perhaps look at the hatch and get the Panoramic Sunroof, next best thing to a Cabrio and an awful lot cheaper!

Clubman looks rubbish. Convertible very desirable, but would you really want it with a diesel engine? I'd stick to the regular hatchback
