Selling a car to overseas buyer

My fisher fury is going to Italy, was wondering of anyone knew..

Do I still have to send the v5 off with the Italian mans address in Italy on? Or will the dvla be notified once the car is re registered abroad?

He hasn't mentioned this and he said he's bought cars over here plenty of times. He's totally legit, met this weekend, just a bit confused. Might be an obvious answer I dunno, anyone know??

Last thing I need is dvla chasing me for road tax or whatever when the car is in Italy!!

Doesn't just fall under the "permanent export" section of the V5 ?

Ah so I fill that section in and send it off and give him the main part of the v5 to register. Totally missed that, couldn't check the v5 as it's with the dvla having the personal reg removed. Thanks!!
