New Focus. Butt ugly.

I saw my first new Focus today and I thought the rear end looked appalling. The lights are huge and look ridiculous.

I've never been a fan of the focus, but that really is in the wrong direction.

Personally I think that bizarre, muddled grill at the front is by far the worst part of the car. Hopefully they will go with something nicer for the ST and RS versions in the future.

Yeah so horrible well at least it looks no worse than the previous model or for that matter any other car in it's sector.

I must be in the minority then. I think it looks great, particularly the front grille, which should look tantalisingly aggressive in ST/RS form.

It's basically a fat overweight Fiesta.

Both the new shape Ka and Fiesta have that shaped arse.

The previous shape was great, but this is just ugly. Shame.

It looks a bit Volvo to me.

I'm not keen TBO and thats from someone who's had a new Focus every time a new model has come out since the original.

You know when a manufacturer has fked up the hatch when the estate gets more advertising space!

I haven't seen an ad for the hatch focus, where they show the hatch!

More a sense of reality. The previous Focus was no oil painting and neither are things like an Astra, Golf or Leon. In a sea of bland objects the Focus is no better or worse.

It's like a mk2 focus that's melted.

Ford have really lost their way - the mk1 focus was revolutionary - high level lighting, edgy design - this is just st. The lights are particularly st.

Also, I wonder how much replacements of the little motors that close the vents on the front grille are going to be when they inevitably go wrong...
