Going to look at this tonight - is it really worth £1500?

Looks like it's in good condition. Spoke to the guy who said the MOT is expiring in about 6 weeks but he's happy to get a new MOT done on Tuesday - I don't want to wait that long! Should I wait until it's done or buy it and hope it's all ok? He's confident it will pass and said it hasn't had any advisories on the last couple of MOTs...

Have a look, if you like it, put a deposit down pending it passes it's mot (or he pays out for whatever is needed to pass the MOT).

If it fails and he wont fix it, you get deposit back and go look elsewhere (or could haggle a new price if you still want it).

Wait for the MOT to be done and go through the history carefully to guage if the milage is genuine. Check when cambelt was done and factor this in to the price.

If it's as described it looks pretty decent.

yes. it is. by about 5-600 considering the MOT

Just got back from viewing the car. I left a £50 deposit and he agreed to get an MOT done so should be picking it up in a week! Got the price down to £1400 with the original alloys as well. I asked about the cambelt apparently it's got a timing chain which go on forever so don't need to worry about that.
