Peugeot 607 2.2HDi?
I had one a few years ago as a Private Hire car (taxi) - great car, within the 50000 miles (from 40-90k) I put on it all it needed was one set of brake pads all round and routine servicing.
Mine was auto too - averaged 36mpg during work (Glasgow so all stop/start) - upto 50 odds on a run
Great interior and boot space too, mine was gadget laden too Nav, Xenons, Leather, Phone, blah blah

Eh, there's more room in the back for them than in an S-Class (or are you sneering at the Skoda badge, notice you don't list what you drive).Superb/A6/Passat - somthing with that VAG 1.9tdi engine, my old man gets 45-50mpg out of his Superb combined, great car for the money.
They're very reliable so any that have been minicabbed are likely to have been driven until they've been to the moon and back twice and are falling to pieces (otherwise why would they get rid?), should be an easy spot
