Does a 3-series M Sport ride lower than a normal...

3 series with m sport wheels? Im trying to figure out of the msport rides lower, as there's something that doesnt look quite 'right' about an ES or SE with the M sport wheels. Is it just me being stupid, or does the se/es ride higher?

I have a 320td and 330ci msport (both e46) and I think the msport does ride a bit lower but its hard to say as it has much bigger (18inch) wheels and side skirts etc which make it look lower.

Most cars on the market look the same, the BMW looks great IMO

Not the best pictures to be honest, the first car has MV3 wheels off the earlier E46 3-series. Like already said it's hard to tell due to the different wheels sizes, side skirts etc but I would think the m-sport would sit lower by approx 10-15mm.
I'm sure someone will be along to confirm this. (or say I'm completly wrong!)

BMWs saloons have never looked particularly "interesting" or at least not for a long time - they've always been handsome but relatively understated designs. The latest 3-series is a bit ugly in some of the details, to my eye, but fundamentally still follows the same formula.

To be fair, I do agree that the 3 series is boring these days.

A new 'batmobile' style 3 series would sort this out.

Yes the M-Sports have sports supspension, and are iirc about 20mm lower than the SEs.

Just to add an effiecent dynamics 3er will ride lower than an Msport. With the skinny economy tyres on the handling in the wet is very fun.

Cheers guys, looking at the es/se with bigger wheels, it looks daft, that gap between the arch and the tyre is too big, but i wasnt sure if i was just seeing things.

Probbaly not much help but the E30 with m-tech suspension sits 15mm lower than the se spec.
