CB Radio UK 30th Birthday

On 2nd November 2011 CB Radio in the UK will have been legal for 30 years. Why not dig your old rig out of the loft/garage and put out a shout on channel UK30 to celebrate - for old times sake....

haha ive got a few in the shed! used to have one in an old volvo 740 just for laughs! all you get nowadays is idiots on them (thats when you find someone that actually uses them!)

dont think even the truckers use them now do they?!

I got one for my truck at the weekend, an old rotel 240. I was actually suprised how many people were using it and how little amount of idiots were on them nowadays.

Am ashamed to admit it now - but it was Ammunition Andy (well I was only 10).. then later truncated to AA).. but is all callsigns in last decade or so (Ham Radio now)....

I've got one, which comes out of the shed once a year - for the Le Mans road trip. Our convoy always use them, makes the journey much more entertaining!

I had an AM rig with a Firestick aerial which I think was illegal at the time. Met a couple of 'seat covers' on my CB in the mid 80's!
