Guildford to Cornwall tonight...traffic

OK, so I don't really want to be sat on the A303 behind numpties and their caravans (who would), what time tonight does the PH massive reckon will be safe to leave Guildford in order to have a relatively easy run down?

From my very limited experience, shirley it'll be 'ok' by 8pm...

Depends on your tolerance of a 40/50mph hundred mile long convoy for a number of hours.

Ideally I want to be able to make decent progress when the roads are 'significantly' quieter than usual, especially once past Stonehenge and on single carriageway for most until Exeter...

North Cornwall- Trebetherick, basically between Polzeath and Rock. Hope this Weather sticks around, should be awesome.

Possibly later; it's Easter and a hot weekend too. I'd take it easy tonight, have a bit of a nap leave about 11ish and then nail it. You should easily be able to make it in about 3.5 hours from Guildford.

For people travelling to cornwall, It's hot here weather has been lovely for a couple of days and hopefully will continue over the next few days.

I do this journey a lot, and after experimenting I tend to leave about 8pm. The 303 just isn't worth it between 4pm and 7pm.

Don't bother. Roads are already clogged up with emmets doing 35-40 everywhere.

I do Guildford to North Cornwall a lot and would leave tonight if I where you. You do know that the roundabout just before Stonehenge is being dug up and is a pig? I would just leave whenever you like and head north right around the road works. Don't bother with the morning, lots of people do this and it can be just as bad.

The route to take is always a quandry for the London and Guildford set, so which ever one everyone is thinking of
do the opposite and then the opposite of that.

Once you get to Honiton, it's plain sailing till just before Bodmin. I doubt you'd have much trouble right now in all honesty.

Not bad going I thought. Cayenne S did 18.4mpg...
