It's vile. I can see why they left it on though - if you're the sort of fellow who wants a tasteless wrap, then you'll snap this up. Similarly, if you're the sort of person who's blessed with sight, you'll just ask them to remove the wrap.

Theoretically, they should cover both markets and not put anyone off. Though I wouldn't buy it, because I reckon the sort of person who wraps a car like that doesn't have any mechanical sympathy. Illogical conclusion maybe, but bet I'm not alone...

How heavy are those things? And do they mess up the paintwork when they're taken off.

The manager of the local string of hand car washes tools around in a mirror-wrapped Audi R8. Terrible-looking thing, resembles some kind of giant bathroom fitting.

Not particularly heavy. As a guess maybe 4-5kg?

They shouldn't mess up the paintwork when you take them off, but if there are paint imperfections (unlikely on any car with a straight factory paint job) then the wrap could pull crap paint away on removal. But it is a case of being sympathetic to the car/paint when removing it regardless.
