BMW E46 325i M Sport Coupe??

Hi, the opportunity has arisen for me to buy a very low mileage 03 325i m sport coupe at work. My preference was towards an M3 but seen as mileage is low and price tempted to go with this. Does anyone own these variants and know how say it compares with a 330ci or e36 328? as i have not driven these models and how suitable it would be to use as a first track day car? Cheers Andy

Have recently acquired a 330ci, which I am very pleased with. I can't comment on the 325ci as I've not driven one, but from what I hear, they don't represent a massive saving in any department, but performance isn't far off either, so if there is a good one going cheap then I'd certainly consider it.

I don't think I'd entertain tracking my car though. It's a very nice drive but just doesn't seem like it would suit trackwork.
