Brake pads, Mintex 1144 or Ferodo ds2500?

Can anyone advise on which pads are best for fast road use and with the odd track day use as well.

My car weighs 1040kg with 350bhp, have been considering Mintex 1144 compound or Ferodo ds2500.

Its a Ford RS200 (Group B rally car), which some of you may remember if you were into rallies in the mid 80's

I'd have a look at Pagid too, they are all good pads with good reputations but the performance of your braking system and the size of the pads will be important too, it's not just as simple as choosing one pad over another.

Is there a RS200 clup who can advise based on your braking setup ?

Its basically a road going rally car with AP 4 pot racing calipers all round, large ventilated discs.
Ford simply added some home comforts to the remaining road cars like carpets/radio, all the running gear is pretty much rally spec

Out those 2, DS2500s

I'd plump for the Ferodos, but only because I haven't used Mintex 1144s. The DS2500s I've been impressed with.
