What should I do...

Hello All,
I have been a long time reader, and I am now asking a judgement on my sanity…
I currently own two cars, a Pug 306 diesel estate for dog and general duties, and my pride and joy, Lancia integrale Evo 2 (Dealer Collection). I have loved, cherished, spent every spare penny on this car over the past 11 years. Although, times are a changing.
I had the car when single, always had sheds to use during winter, etc and not having a garage, begged and borrowed friends garages to store her over the winter.
The current Mrs Evo, has always accepted my Italian mistress. We have been together for 9 years, I used the car for our wedding, and my father drove it before I bought it, and is sadly no longer with us.
My dilemma is this…We moved to a house with a garage, we have recently had a baby daughter, with maybe another on the way…Mrs Evo has a Golf Mk4 TDI, although she would like something newer and larger. I don’t use the Lancia as often as I did. I have become more paranoid about using it, and the Lancia could do with some money being spent to bring her up to my ocd standard. Do I sell, get myself a toy that I can use a bit more (R26.R) and get something newer for the o/h.

This. If you buy the (admittedly very accomplished) R26R, once the new car glow has dimmed after a month or two, you'll open your garage door, see a large-bottomed Renault sitting there in place of your classic Italian mistress and a little bit of you will die inside.Ok...Here is a pic...I am open to other car ideas....

My thoughts are a bit different - namely that a car which isn't being used regularly is just a pile of junk cluttering up your garage and cluttering up your life.
I'd change the car ownership pattern until you're throught he thick of the nappies and pushchairs, then get yourself a new toy when time, space and money allow.
PS I've never seen any sign that kids enjoy being thrown about in the back of a cramped sports car. Much happier in a family wagon of some kind - and when they're happy, you're happy!
