Do big wheels and small disks look stupid? I cant think of any examples of the top of my head but im sure you have all seen it!?

yeah my uncle has just wacked some 19" mulit-spoke on his old 5 series, and on the back especially the disks are really small!

my mate and I always comment on small discs under big (usually thin spoke) wheels.

Indeed they do.

A disc should fill the wheel. If not then your alloys are too big.

yeah true drums are worse, i saw an original beetle with drums all round but painted pink! not a good look!

not sure what is worse...small discs in big alloys or small discs and huge silver backing plates attempting to make it look bigger than it really is - tons of modern cars do this and they look pretty sh&te in my opinion.

They look even worse over drums IMO.

i guess painting the drums is better than leaving them rusty, but why people choose these bright colours which just hightlight the fact that you have DRUM BRAKES i dont know...

As an owner of the old Civic Type R EP3 (17") i always thought the new Type R FN2 on Rage Alloys (19") with the same brakes looks a little silly ! But im sure there are much worse examples out there !

I think the fn2 ctr just gets away with it.

But to your question it does look silly, I love to see a big brake setup. It's generally the first thing I check when trying to suss out whether someones AMG or M badges are for real.

Yes massive thin spoke wheels look awful with tiny discs and plain rusty single pot calipers.

The opposite of my old car!
