Can you re-use fuel hoses?

I've just changed the pump on a Focus and I've used the same fuel hoses which run from the pump to the filter. My concern is the plastic lugs that secure the hoses are now slightly white where they have been bent, and its obvious the hose is under a lot of pressure.

Its working fine now, but I'm afraid they may snap at some point? Ford want £70 for the hose as I can't buy the nozzles seperately, and scrap yards are of no use because you ideally need them brand new.

Yes there are three clips, all nice and snug. Does fuel pressure increase with engine load? I.e. the faster I drive the more likely the clip will break?

I'll try and shop around for new plastic fittings, but in the mean time if the car suddenly loses power I'll know to turn the engine off ASAP to stop fuel pissing everywhere!

Arent they just Ford's more annoying version of a jubilee clip? Real ones available for about £2 a pack from a motor factors etc
