So today I washed and polished the fleet

Her Astra
my work 118D
my S type Jag

all looked great after about 4 hours work, all shining all looking good

then kerboom, the flying cows used the Jag as a target bds bds barstards

so the jag got washed and dried again, no polishing this time, checked and the Bmw and her astra had also been donw, hosed them off

then saw next doors dog piss up the wheel of the bmw

not happy

The last time I washed a car, I spent about 3 hours getting it really shiny and showroom-like. Went indoors for an hour. Came out to admire my work and noticed a 3 inch lump of masonry sitting on the bonnet, having put a nice dink or two in the paint work, revealing the undercoat (I forget the term). That was in 1999.

And OP, I feel your pain, I once spent 3 hours washing, waxing and polishing every inch of the TVR, I took a few photos, and just then a couple of cars went past and shook up a load of dust, which went all over the damn car..............

iye I know your pain! I just washed, waxed and polished our 2 cars, went inside for a cuppa, came back out and boom...tree sap, leaves and bird s*it all over the cars!! Looked like they had been driven though a hedge!
