I'd let B go first, as I would have to cross his 'lane' so to speak, unless he was a dawsling fool, in which case I'd just head over Dukes of Hazzard style.

I would wait for car B to complete its manoeuvre at the give way and then cross the other carriage way into the junction.

Wait for car B to pass in front of me, then pass behind it. Car B will now have a better view of traffic approaching on the main road and I will be able to manoevure more freely in the central waiting area - not sure that getting from 'red A' to 'pink A' while still leaving room behind me would be easy.

I agree.. Or I would slowely crawl and tuck myself by the grass on the correct side. Going the otherside is stupid and only asking for issues

I'd navigate it like the turning to Earls Colne slightly further along the road. Different road markings make it clearer.

There's a junction like this in Milton Keynes. I let B go first, but I'm just playing it safe by doing so. The road to B's right is quite clear, so they pull out almost immediately anyway. Likewise, when there's no B waiting there I can do the whole crossing in one go.

There are several junctions like this near me and they always cause confusion.

Technically I think that whichever car crosses their Give Way line first has priority, but since car B is most at risk (i.e. could have to stop in front of oncoming traffic) I usually consider them to have priority.

Reminds me of this junction, where bellends always try and pull out from the NW road into the middle section when I'm approaching from the NE and trying to turn right:

The usual rule is that vehicles turning OFF the main road have priority over those turning onto the main road. But the junction in the Original Post is signed differently to reverse the priorities, so it's no wonder there are accidents.

It lasted less than a week due to far too many complaints.

I can understand the logic - if there's a lot of traffic turning from the main road then those trying to join it get stuck and it starts to clog up. But it's not enough of a problem that a roundabout or traffic lights are necessary.

Not sure what a solution would be to be honest.

If the yellow car B is waiting for traffic on the main carriageway to clear, i.e giving way at his give way line, then as long as there is enough space there is nothing wrong with car A moving to the pink spot whilst waiting for this to happen.
