Problem with local garage

Basically I had them fit for me a new steering wheel as my old one was worn. Well when I picked it up they did the job ok- but 2 mns down the road it made a scraping noise. They sorted it, or so I thought, but it continued to make a noise, when it should have been near silent.
1 week later back I went- this time he pulled the airbag off and the slip ring wires with it- resulting in a buggered slip ring. He admitted liabilty and said he'd fix it.
He said the part would take two days. I phoned two days later, his answer was he didn't have a clue when the part would get there.
Bank holidays have happened in between but now 2 working days later no news. I'm getting a bit worried they might want to get out of it.
What would you do?

You are the unluckiest person I know!
The scraping will have been grit on the slip ring, and I know exactly what he has done with the wires - I have done it myself! Took me ages to get a new slipring sorted, there are that many different verions of the same part. I think I used a Mk3 Golf one in the end.
But back to the point in hand, I always give people plenty of time to get stuff sorted, personally id give them a ring on Monday, but thats just me.

You're not kidding. If he hadn't of buggered things up, everything would at last be ok...I just get that funny feeling- each time i've gone back he's been a bit of a git tbh, like he really couldn't be arsed. And with the price of a slip rings- I don't think he'll be any more arsed...

I got one from the scrappers, new they are very expensive! Plenty of other models to get them from - There is a list on CL if you do a search I think. I obviously won't be looking for one as it's their responsibility. Bit worried though, obviously.
