Car Wash Queue Etiqutte

With the recent good weather and summer fast approaching (so no doubt it will start to rain soon!) I was keen to find out the opinion of the PH masses to see what you think is reasonable behaviour when waiting for the car wash at a petrol station. I'm already expecting a barrage of abuse about 'swirlomatic' machines and how it's sacrilege that I'm not washing my car with a unicorn skin waffle glove dipped sequentially in 7 ivory buckets of Pope-blessed Peruvian rainwater and then waxing it with whale-smegma based wax that has been scented with the musk of the recently married chief's daughter from the Dogon tribe of East Africa, but some of us occasionally use these machines. What do you think is the appropriate way of doing things?

I wouldn't use one now, unless it was a rental car or a company car.

However I think anybody who blocks the queue and the walks off to get their ticket, deserves to be shunted out of the way!

Ticket first, then queue. Otherwise the queue goes twice as slow due to inconsiderate tts!

Do people still use petrol station drive in-car washes??

Utter madness when your local Albanians will do it by hand and do a good job for the same price give or take a couple of quid...

I find it even more baffling that people whine on (not you per se OP) about the surfeit of immigrants in Great Britain and then seem happy to pay them slave labour wages to tip dirty water over their expensive motorcars.

Not as bad as the people that fill up and then do their fking shopping.

If I were to use one of those machines I would pay first then queue.

Although at the weekend I got fuel, paid and got my ticket, and then went to queue. The queue took ages so just after I'd moved forwards as the next person went in, I ran back to the shop and got an ice cream. Is that allowed?

Had the 2 cars on the drive for 7 months for one of them and 8 months for the other and I've never washed either of them yet. For £7 including drying it down at the local hand wash then they can do it, although last time it cost me £10 for a charity to get the local firemen (and one sexy firewoman) to wash it, but that included a free cup of tea and a cake
