Value of P1 impreza please

Can someone advise me how much to pay so I can keep it for a couple of months then sell it on. The car in question is a 2000 impreza P1,one owner, 36,000 miles, no mods, no paint a few chips to splitter. What do you reckon? Thanks.

I have, I just wondered if it being standard and low miles made it more desirsble/worth more. I can buy it for £8500 but I know I'll be bored after a couple of months thought I could maybe make a bit of profit instead of blowing like normal.

as much as I dislike Scoobies following their recent slip into 'Chav status symbol', the P1 will ultimately become one of the classics of what really is a good (not 'great') car.

IF you can find a truly unmolested one for 8.5 and you can afford to NOT use it regularly it will surely be an appreciating classic.

A boggo, chav'd up STi (Sexually Transmitted Infection?) or WRX, forget it.

I've always liked the P1's, if you can afford to buy it, and not molest it, I'd say buy it and keep it tbh. There's so many out there which are wrecked, and in a few years time it could still be the same price you paid for it.

They will only reach collector status at around 16-18 years of age when people will buy, to tuck them up in a heated garage for the show circuit.Nostalgia is a wonderful thing, but making a quick buck on the car for sale in Retford is a non starter.You will most likely keep it a year, have some fun and get your money back this time next year.That is a much more realistic goal...

I think describing something like an impreza wrx or sti as 'boggo' is probably worth of a statement like that

Boggo is a fiat punto with manual window winders and a cassette player as luxuries.

Well I kind of see where he is coming from if i'm honest. I thought he used "Boggo" within the brand, seeing as the P1 is a status symbol as is the RB320 for example, then "Standard" WRX STi cars can be considered "Boggo".

It's a snooty way of looking at things but hey.. That's what happens within car owners.

If you keep it low mileage, possibly you could get a profit. To be honest, buying a car to make a profit is rarely a good venture. I've only ever seen or achieved it with Military Discount/Tax Free cars.

I'd just buy the best example I could, enjoy it, and if it comes to make a profit, that's a bonus, if not, it's been a good period.

A focus is a good car, a turbocharged impreza is well known to be one of the all time greats, my statement is easily backed up by every motoring magazine or review ever, hence me saying you have no clue.

Never been tempted to buy one as I can walk on two feet, upright without my knuckles dragging along the pavement.

My point was a P1 will be a better 'investment' than a 'normal' Preza. Sti or Wrx or whatever.

Boba Fret doesn't even have a car according to his profile so I'd wager he drove an Impreza on his xbox. I do like the knuckle dragging comment, all the Impreza owners I've met have been proper people with a strong passion for cars, far from the chav status alluded to by our star wars geek.

I live in Essex, the Chav heartland of England. I can assure you, Chavs do not aspire for Imprezas. Its all about a white Range or a knackered BMW (if you are a bit poor). Go and watch the only way is Essex (dire) and tell me how may Scoobys you see...

Interors of newer subarus are better then most euro boxes.
