911 turbo or GTR

This is not a "What car" thread but after opinions from people who have experience of both of these cars.
I currently have a 996 Turbo which I have had for the last 5 years and have covered over 50,000 miles in it. It has been sympathectically modified and produces around 520bhp. I love this car but feel it is time for a change. I was thinking of changing it for the last 996 Turbo S or an early 997 Turbo. However I keep looking at ads for the Nissan GTR.
Has anyone owned a 911 and then moved on to a GTR and if so what was your experience. What did you miss/not miss about the 911. Have you had any issues with the GTR?
