Driving on an expired licence???

Hi All,

IIRC the photocard driving licence needs to be sent back to DVLA every 10years so the photo can be updated.

If someone is caught driving with a licence that has expired for at least 6months, then can the Police also seize the car because their Insurance policy is no longer valid?

Doesn't affect your entitlement to drive and your insurance won't be affected either. However there are financial penalties for what is nothing more than a clerical error/licence tax.
