Would a car fail an MoT with a bent wheel and engine light?

Car needs an MoT next month, i recall them failing things for engine light, airbag lights etc, but thought this didnt come into force until next year? Maybe someone could clarify, as my engine light has been on for a few months now.
Secondly, i hit a pothole in winter, still waiting on the council to get back to me about my claim. The alloy bent and within 10 hours the tyre was flat.
Managed to get a family member who works at a garage to knock the wheel back into shape, and the tyre is now on the back and not leaking air, the wheel isnt wobbling and drives fine, but to look at, it is out of shape. It can only be seen from the back of the wheel, so it would have to be on a ramp.
Would this fail?

I put the claim in, in January, rang up in about March to be told they would call me within a week or two, rang up wednesday and was told be some crazy woman she would ring me yesterday but didnt, rang up today and she said that the file was knocking around but she couldnt see it for all the other papers and would call me next week.

They will fail you on an Airbag light, as that is a safety issue and the airbag light would indicate that there is a fault.
The engine light shouldn't be an issue regarding MOT, but as said, this is dependant on the emissions test.
I'd put the spare wheel on to make sure it doesn't cause a fail.
