"THIS IS FOR AN UNDAMAGED HPI CLEAR BARE BODYSHELL COMPLETE WITH ALL TAGS AND V5 FOR A 2002 SUBARU IMPREZA UK STI PPP PRODRIVE. THIS IS FOR THE BARE SHELL ONLY WITH NO PARTS."

cos you could buy that for £400, nick a impreza and swap everything into the bare bodyshell?

Technically not enough "DVLA/VOSA points" to retain identity, but difficult to check and not against ebay rules.

What he said.

There's also a Series 1 Land Rover Logbook and VIN plates, but as they are accompanied by the full chassis, it's not illegal.

As mentioned, actually getting the 'rebuilt' vehicle back on the road with that ID [again, legally] may be a struggle due to the DVLA points sytem, but that's a different kettle of fish.

That's a bit of a grey area and not against eBay's rules I don't 'think' - there's a car with the paperwork and it's not just VIN plates...

If you did rebuild that using another car's hardware, you'd have mismatched engine numbers at the very least - it's not legit but it's not illegal, so to speak.

Could go to a Heritage shell build but offering to dispose of the shell? Idiot.

That's the third time the four door Escort has been listed so I hope you have a pinch of salt big enough to take with it.

That would be me, although the concerning thing is that he has referred to me by name. I did not disclose my name in the message, and typically eBay only shows your eBay ID and never your actual name in any messages, so I've no idea how he know's my surname...
Hmm.. I just did a search in case your eBay username is the same, to see if it's on your profile, but your username is different. I'm also thinking about the email address attached to your account, but he shouldn't be able to see that if you've only gone through eBay's messaging service.

Guess you best watch out for white Transits now, mate wink
