I´m currently looking for a Carrera GT and stumbled across the one offered by VVS Vehicle Solutions in Kent:

http://vvsuk.co.uk/sports-cars/porsche/used-porsch...

Is VVS a company to trust and does anyone on here know something about No. 165s history?

Half days journey for me to view the car, me being situated in Belgium, so any input for this car is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Is it really number 165? Is it Carrara white rather than Grand Prix? If it's Grand Prix white it would be Mr Bridger's as he said his was the only one in UK.

As has been mentioned a few times, regarding any UK based cgt, call Porsche Reading and speak to Andy Keywood.

Thanks, will get into touch with Andy on monday. Already did a google search about the seller but could only find closed topics, which is not good start though....

Funny co-incidence, ran into Mr. Ex-Porsche Wiedeking this morning during his visit to my company.

He doesn´t know his cars by the chassis number though... :-)

Could well be, though I thought the repaint was before his ownership.

I wouldn't buy a car from him again after my experience a few years ago.

He does seem to have gone up market some what in a very short period of time. He was never a Lambo specialist or expensive marque dealer.

All my opinion from experience.

It's my recollection that it was painted by Porsche Reading, so they should know it.

When I visited the factory, at the OPC opposite the museum they had a absolutely immaculate FIance Yellow car with over 80,000 Km on the clock. It was Euro 250k ...

By all accounts, they also do high mileage --- and if you want a car to drive, I would hate to burn a low car premium.

This car has been around for a long time, but maybe all it needs is a new start ?

This or a new Maclaren ??

I was just being obtuse. It's also a Talbot, but that wasn't Mr Turner's area! Anyway.....

I am pretty sure the car was repainted at Reading and then sold my Malton.

Callipers are also painted and the seats don't look original (material that is).

The car is probably fine but some people are funny if it is not original (me, for example).
