GT3 digital speedo to KPH, reversed?

I know you can swap the digital speedo to KPH, can this be reversed for a Euro car to be put into MPH?
(ie- if you bought a vehicle from Europe with a KPH speedo, rather than swapping it, could you just change digital one to MPH?)
